Enjoying The Undertow is Isotherme’s first single for Fwonk* and displays a penchant for weaving multiple melodies within a song’s structure.
The chilled out feel of the title track was originally inspired by the nautical writing of poet Christiane Lopez (mermaidsbite.tumblr.com), and the song honors that writing within the arrangement.

Electronic sounds bubble and splash as if in water. Each melodic line and counter-line represents a creature of the sea. Fish travel by. Dolphins jump. E-bowed guitars mimic whale calls. The bass line is the ocean floor. Mermaids swim in the lightness of the percussion. And the sea itself is heard in the lush pads which envelop the entire piece.
